Best on a desktop or tablet
The typing games need a physical keyboard and more room than a phone screen gives, so we've left this one out rather than serve you a version that fights you.
Everything else works fine here — read the guides, or browse the Kedmanee keyboard reference.
Race a Thai passage against a ghost of your best run — beat your own time.
Arcade mode — clear Thai words as they fall, before they reach the line.
About the Thai typing game
The Score Sprint is a fast, free Thai typing game. You get 60 seconds to type as many Thai words as you can, drawn from a list of the most common words in a tokenised Thai corpus. Every word you type cleanly — with no mistakes — extends your combo, and each combo step multiplies the points the next words are worth, up to five times. A single mistake resets the combo, so the game rewards accuracy and speed together, not raw speed alone.
It runs entirely in your browser with no sign-up, and your physical keystrokes map to the Kedmanee layout, so it works whatever your operating-system keyboard is set to. Your best score is saved on your device so you always have a target to beat. Because you type real, high-frequency Thai words rather than random characters, the game doubles as genuine practice: the words you drill here are the ones you will actually type most often.
It is a lighter, more competitive companion to the structured lessons and the speed test. If you want to measure steady progress, use the 60-second speed test for WPM and accuracy; if you want a quick, replayable challenge that pushes you to type without hesitating, play a sprint.
Tips for a higher score
- Protect your combo — slowing down slightly to type a word cleanly is usually worth more than rushing and breaking the multiplier.
- Keep your eyes on the word, not the keyboard; the physical keys are mapped to Thai for you.
- Longer words are worth more points, so don't skip them.
- Play a few rounds — your best score is saved, so you're always racing your previous self.
FAQ
How does scoring work?
Each cleanly typed word scores points based on its length. Typing several clean words in a row builds a combo that multiplies your points up to five times. Any mistake in a word resets the combo.
Where do the words come from?
From the most frequent words in a tokenised Thai corpus, so you practise the vocabulary you'll actually type most, not random character strings.
Do I need an account to play?
No. The game is free and runs in your browser with no sign-up. Your best score is saved on your device.
Are there other games?
Yes — Typing Race puts you against a ghost of your own best run, and Falling Words is an arcade mode where you clear Thai words before they hit the line. Both are free and linked from this page.
