About ThaiTyper

A free typing trainer built around the Thai keyboard — its two standard layouts, large consonant set, and essential Shift layer.

What it does

Structured curriculum for both layouts

ThaiTyper teaches both the Kedmanee and Pattachote layouts through a twelve-skill track — home-row consonants first, then reaches, vowels, the pre-posed vowel order, tone marks, the Shift layer, and full syllable clusters — before moving on to real words, sentences, and a daily passage. An on-screen keyboard highlights the next key, colour-codes finger zones, and a heatmap reveals exactly which keys need more practice.

Who it's for

Anyone who types Thai

Built for anyone learning Thai, Thai speakers who never mastered touch-typing, and developers or writers who want to type faster and more comfortably. No prior typing skill is assumed — the curriculum starts from zero and advances at your own pace.

How it works

Runs entirely in your browser

Everything runs in your browser and maps your physical keystrokes to Thai characters, so any operating-system layout works without reconfiguring your machine. Progress and best speeds are stored locally in your browser and sync across devices when you are signed in.

Free and ad-supported

Free, and staying that way

ThaiTyper is free and kept that way by unobtrusive advertising. Ads are deliberately placed outside the typing area so they never interrupt a drill. See the Privacy Policy for full details on how advertising and data are handled.
