How the game leaderboard works
Three games, three different metrics. Score Sprint ranks by the points you score in 60 seconds, Falling Words by how many words you cleared before losing your three lives, and Typing Race by finish time — where lower is better, so that board sorts the opposite way to the other two. Each game keeps its own board rather than feeding one combined ranking, because a sprint score and a race time have no common scale to compare on.
The board keeps your best run, not your latest one and not your total. Play as often as you like: only your strongest result on each board is shown, and the runs column tells you how many attempts sit behind it. If two players tie exactly they share the same rank number, and whoever got there first is listed above.
The daily and weekly boards are time-boxed on a fixed clock rather than a rolling window. The daily board counts runs since 00:00 UTC and the weekly board since Monday at 00:00 UTC, so everyone's day and week begin at the same moment. The all-time board keeps everything. A run posts to whichever boards its timestamp falls inside.
Getting on the board
- Play signed in — scores from a signed-out session stay on your own device and never reach the board.
- Every game also keeps a local best, so you have a target to beat before you post anything at all.
- The daily board is usually the easiest to enter, since it only counts runs set since 00:00 UTC.
- Submissions are checked for plausibility before they post, so a score has to be humanly achievable to count.
FAQ
Why didn't my latest run replace my best?
Because the board ranks your best run rather than your most recent one. A slower attempt leaves your existing entry untouched — it only adds to your runs count.
Why is a lower number better on the Typing Race board?
The race metric is finish time, so the fastest run is the smallest number. Score Sprint and Falling Words rank by points and words cleared, where higher is better. Each board sorts by what its own metric means.
When do the daily and weekly boards reset?
The daily board covers runs since 00:00 UTC and the weekly board since Monday at 00:00 UTC. Both are fixed cut-offs rather than rolling windows, so every player's day and week start together.
Do I need an account to appear on the board?
Yes. Every game is playable without signing in and your personal bests are saved on your device either way, but posting a score to the public board needs a free account so there is a handle to display.
